🚠 Summer Chairlifts in Via Lattea (Sauze d’Oulx Area) — Summer 2025
We love a big hike as much as the next person but sometimes, it's nice to get up to the top of the mountains without breaking a sweat.
If you fancy panoramic walks, picnics with a view, e-bike routes, and peaceful alpine days without all the effort, here’s everything you need to know about using the chairlifts in in summer 2025:
Sportinia Chairlift (Sauze d’Oulx)
Opening Dates:
Weekends: 12–13 July, 19–20 July
Daily: 26 July – 24 August
Opening Hours: 09:30 AM – 05:00 PM daily once fully open
📍 Why it’s great:This lift climbs from Sauze d’Oulx up to Sportinia at around 2,100 m—putting you right in the heart of the high trails, lake walks, and ridges without needing to hike uphill from the village.
Rocce Nere Chairlift (Sauze d'Oulx)
Opening Dates:
Daily from 2 August – 24 August
Operation: Uphill only; follow a well-marked trail down to return to Sportinia or Sauze d’Oulx.
📍 Why it’s great:This lift gives quick access from the top of Sportinia to high-altitude trails and ridge walks at over 2,300 m—ideal for photography, summit hikes, or mountain-top lunch stops with minimal effort.
Nube d’Argento Chairlift (Sestriere)
Opening Dates:
Weekends: 19–20 July, 26–27 July
Daily: 2 August – 24 August
Opening Hours: 09:30 AM – 05:00 PM
📍 Why it’s great:This seasonal lift services higher slopes and trails of Sestriere —perfect for hikers or e-bikers aiming to explore the Via Lattea network without a strenuous climb.
